Privacy Policy

FinCal API (“FinCal”, “we”, “us”) provides market-calendar data through the API at fincalapi.com and a dashboard for managing API keys. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Account details. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us. We do not receive your Google password.
  • API keys. We store a one-way hash of each key, its name, and when it was created and last used. We cannot recover a key after it is shown to you.
  • Request logs. For each API request: method, path and query, response status, latency, IP address, user agent, and which key made the call.

We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers, and we do not process payments.

How we use it

  • To sign you in and let you manage your API keys.
  • To run the API: authenticating requests, rate limiting, preventing abuse, and fixing problems.
  • To show you your own usage in the dashboard.
  • To email you about your account or material changes to the service.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers that process data on our behalf:

  • Clerk – sign-in and account management.
  • Google – optional “Sign in with Google”.
  • Render – application hosting and database.
  • Cloudflare – DNS.
  • Resend – transactional email.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Google user data

When you choose Sign in with Google, we request only your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture) and use it solely to create and sign in to your FinCal account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account is open. Request logs are kept for operational purposes and periodically pruned. You can delete your account from the dashboard, or email us and we will delete it along with your API keys.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in to the dashboard. No advertising or tracking cookies.
